What should I expect?
Our fun and quirky workshop schedule is designed to help you master your hobby or find a new one. We offer a diverse range of super-easy introductory workshop classes that will let you explore your creativity while teaching you a range of new skills.
All our courses are designed to be fun, relaxed and offer a unique hands-on experience. We keep our courses intimate to ensure that attendees get the most out of the workshop experiences and you may leave with more than just your new-found skills; at times you will get to take your hand-made items home with you!
Where are the workshops held?
All our workshops are held at The Imperial at Clifton – just over 500m from the Sea Cliff Bridge.

Is parking available?
The Imperial at Clifton has limited on-site car parking available. In addition, feel free to catch a ride on The Imperial Express – our air-conditioned shuttle!
From Helensburgh to Thirroul, our free shuttle will pick you up along this scenic coastal drive and transport you to The Imperial at Clifton. Operating 7 days a week, just hop on at a designated stop by tracking its movements.
What do I need to bring?
While we try to provide everything that you will need for your class, from time to time you may be required to bring along your own equipment. All BYO equipment will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
May I bring along snacks?
External food and beverages are not to be consumed on premises. Food and beverages are available for purchase from the venue.
Are there any dress requirements?
Enclosed shoes are a requirement of all workshop classes.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at the venue approximately 15 minutes before your workshop is scheduled to commence. Workshops will commence at the scheduled start time. Late arrivals may miss out on important steps or information.
Can I make a group booking?
We can organise private workshops for group bookings of 10 or more. Private workshop classes are a unique way to celebrate hens parties, bucks parties, bridal showers or baby showers. They’re also ideal for team building. Contact us to arrange a fully-customised private workshop for your friends or colleagues.
What if I can’t make the workshop class?
Please choose carefully as our workshop classes are non-refundable. If you can’t attend a workshop for whatever reason, you are welcome to send someone in your place. If you choose to do so, please send us an email with details of your replacement.
What happens if my class is cancelled?
While extremely rare, at times we may need to cancel one of the scheduled workshop classes. If we need to cancel a class for any reason, we will provide a minimum of 24 hours notice and will provide a full refund of the class fee.
Are the workshop classes suitable for all ages?
Unless stated otherwise, our workshops are designed for ages 15+. Any children aged 15 – 18 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
Do you run workshops for children?
Yes, from time to time, we will run workshop classes for kids aged 14 years and under. All guardians are required to remain at the venue for the duration of the workshop class.
Can I bring photography devices with me?
Of course! We encourage you to capture your moments and encourage you to share them with your social media followers.
How do I become a workshop instructor?
The Works will host in-house workshops run by our talented team but we will also open our doors to suitable creatives looking for a space to host their events.
Becoming a ‘Workshopteur’ under The Works brand entitles you to a number of inclusions for a nominal room hire fee.
